Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a phone call from a local vet clinic about three little cats, sisters Ava
and Aisha and a little boy named Xavier. They had been brought into the clinic to be
spayed or neutered, and receive their vaccines, but what the clinic was uncertain about
was that the cats were destined to live in a barn. Having a big heart the vet said that she
would find homes for them instead of small cats going into a big barn with large animals.
From there they stayed at her clinic for a little while to be socialized and to receive their
surgeries, vaccines, and Microchips. All three had done very well there and a playroom
was set up for them in a rarely used examination room. Eventually, Pet Patrol was able to
take them into our care and learn about their personalities and ready them for adoption.
Personality:
Ava loves to hang around humans and is a chatty girl. She will let you know when she
wants attention and pets (she will bump her head onto our hands) and chin and belly rubs
are her favourite. When she sleeps it is a deep sleep and you can sometimes hear her
snore (so cute!!). She is the adventurous one of the two siblings and is really curious
about new sounds, smells, or any new objects. She is good company and the leader of
the pair. Our all grey girl Ashia tends to be quiet and reserved. It takes her a little
while to adjust to a new home but the more she adapts the easier it is to give her gentle
pets, chin scratches and back massages. When we pet her, she shoves her head under
our hand for more attention, so sweet. She is also curious and calm in nature. Both girls
are purring machines – one stroke and they instantly start their motors. They chase each
other around, pounce on each other. These pretty girls are ready to be adopted into their
forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
