Rescue:
A woman contacted Pet Patrol, a little nervous and unsure as to what to do with the young
kitten that she found. She was alerted to him by her elderly mother who lives in a small town,
which is surrounded by fields, barns and country properties. This is little Yoshi. He was first
noticed in her yard, dashing about in the flower bed, taking refuge under shrubs and being very
cautious and confused. In this yard there is a shed beside the garage and he poked his little
head out from under it indicating that he had found a safe place to hide from predators and the
weather. But he couldn’t stay there and so the daughter was called to come and rescue him.
He came right out to her when she arrived and called out to him, purring deeply and so very
happy to have attention and affection from someone. Where did he come from? Sometimes
children on the farms are good to the kittens and handle them and socialize them, but the
barns were so far away the woman couldn’t image him traveling that far on his own. Soon
afterwards he came into Pet Patrol care so that we could find him a forever home.
Personality:
When he first arrived at the sanctuary Yoshi was not sure of what to do with all the cats that he watched,
and the people caring for him. He quickly learned by observing and soon was happy and friendly, playing
with the other felines and accepting cuddles from volunteers. He is outgoing and active, and tested out all
the toys and happily climbs the cat trees to observe the room from a bird’s eye view. He loves to lay on
your lap, snuggle in and gives sweet little kitty kisses as well. Yoshi rarely meows but when he does it is soft
and definitely asking for something. While living on the street he was the sidekick for Moser, who is also in
Pet Patrol care and they adore each other. (Nice thought, to see them adopted together). One that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
