Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from a local shelter that had this pretty little long-haired orange
girl who needed to find another shelter to take her in. As this was a large shelter, there were
many cats and dogs and poor little Ruby was terrified of it all. She was found as a stray and
her history is that the finder saw her for about two weeks in their backyard, They believed she
was being fed by an elderly person down the street with other strays. When Ruby was brought
into the shelter, she was covered in feces, and had a very badly matted back end. She was
very hesitant to interact with people, but has the cutest squeaky meow. Ruby would allow them
to pet her to some degree but was also very intimidated by it. Feeling she would do better in a
quieter environment, she was brought into Pet Patrol care where she has thrived

Personality:

Ruby is a tiny girl underneath all her beautiful orange fur. She has an interesting personality
that we feel will continue to develop in a forever home. She keeps to herself and naps during
the day, but in the evening she loves to cuddle and fall asleep with you. Watching TV and
making biscuits is an endearing quality. If you put your hand in front of her she loves to rub her
nose into it. lol Playing with toys and other cats is something that comes naturally to her, as
she is used to living with other felines and sharing everything – except the wand toy, that she
will run away with! Initially, in a new environment, she can be a bit aloof, preferring to observe
her surrounding from on top of the cat tree but with time and patience she will make herself at
home. Ruby is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors.
