Kalan

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who found a little kitten in her backyard. No
one really knows where he came from. He was friendly but also a bit frightened at first. He
would shy away from people initially, but he would meow at them for attention and food.
Poor Kalan. He was trying to express his fear, hunger and want for human cuddles but just
didn’t know how. He had put his trust in people before, but ended up on the street. Who
should he trust? It didn’t take long though, good food and gentle pets while he was eating,
encouraged him to want more attention and soon his rescuers were able to pick him up.
Now what? They already had a house cat, and didn’t think she would do well with this
youngster so they sought out Pet Patrol. Kalan was easily put in a carrier and brought into
Pet Patrol care.

Personality:

Wonderful! Such a nice, happy go lucky and loving cat. Kalan loves everyone and is great
with the other pets in his foster home. He is outgoing, brave and is liking the attention from
everybody. Especially the little dogs that lick his head. He is very playful and loves all the
toys that have been offered to him. The kitty tunnel is a very special toy. Gazing out the
window keeping track of the birds and squirrel is a nice afternoon prelude to a cuddle and
nap on his caregiver’s lap. He is such a gem. Kalan is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
