Rescue:
Pet Patrol received an urgent call from a woman who has rescued cats in her area before and
has done her best to make sure they were safe. She can house them temporarily, then she
places them with other rescues or finds new homes for them. She had become aware of a
young woman who was living on her own and pregnant. Family and Children Services had
insisted that this young woman’s many cats and two large dogs be rehomed before the baby
is born. The women who called Pet Patrol took in sixteen cats initially and found homes or
other rescues to take some. By the end of the rescue operation there were sixty four cats in
total that needed to be rehomed. The rescue went well, as the young woman who owned the
cats helped by placing the cats into carriers. Pet Patrol was able to help with nine initially and
more later on, which included Missy who was heavily pregnant at the time. Proper authorities
and other cat rescues have been called to make sure the remaining cats and remove them
from their dismal living conditions.. Soon after arriving at Pet Patrol Missy gave birth to Martini,
Margarita and Mojito.
Personality:
Margarita is the spiciest of the litter! Always the first one to do new things: out of the baby box,
climb the cat scratcher, charge out of the bathroom. She has no time for cuddles, there is
exploring to do! She loves to chase all of her family: momma’s tail, her siblings around the
bedroom. Any toy is her favorite while she is playing with it, then she get distracted by something
else and that is a new favorite. She gave the resident cat a sniff and a poofy tail before
trying to play with his tail. She was not a fan of the dog, hiding and hissing. Margarita is a
sweet yet active kitty who is able to be picked up and cuddled and ready to be adopted into
her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
