Rescue:
A family had just moved in to their new house in December and were busy putting things
away and making it their own. They had a lot of boxes stored in the garage until they could
organize the furniture and finally put everything away. One day when the woman opened
the door from the house into the garage she caught a glimpse of a little cat scooting across
floor. It disappeared behind a stack of chairs and a few suitcases. Startled, the woman
wondered where the cat came from, then realized it had squeezed underneath the mostly
closed garage door. Eventually they heard the mews of tiny kittens and saw Cricket scramble
up the shelves to a small hole in the ceiling. She had given birth to a litter of kittens up
there. Once the babies reached six weeks of age, they were found running around the
garage having fun, and that is when the couple began feeding them. A few weeks later they
brought Cricket into Pet Patrol care and the kittens a little while later. All are safe and
sound now.
Personality:
What a doll. Opie is friendly and outgoing, interested in his people and being with them. He
knows all about toys but is quite enthusiastic of the playroom in the sanctuary for the cats.
We have climbers and scratching posts, big beds and lots of interactive toys. He is having
such fun. Opie is easy to pick up and cuddle, he likes to flop in your lap and have a good
cuddle too. Just a nice, sweet and family friendly little cat that will steal your heart. Opie is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors
