Ford & Fuji

Ford & Fuji

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message: “I have 4 kittens in my shop. My backyard is being totally re-landscaped. The garden shed that the kittens were born under is gone, and the mother has long disappeared. I brought the cats into the shop, but don’t know what to do with them now. They are nervous to be around people but my wife is able to pet them up.” This well-meaning individual then answered Pet Patrol’s callback, but that he had aleady dropped them off elsewhere. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a rescue – it was a random farm. The kittens 8 week old kittens, including Ford & Fuji, were not used to large farm animals, and they wouldn’t have access to quality food or vet care. And with several females in the litter, new kittens would most certainly be born further down the line. Realizing this, the man helped get these lovely cats safely into Pet Patrol’s care shortly thereafter.

Personality:

Ford and Fuji may have started out shy and uncertain when they first arrived in their foster home,
but with time, patience, and love, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful companions who
share an incredibly special bond. These two are almost always together, often walking side by side
with their tails wrapped around each other like tiny soulmates. Ford is the calm, confident big
brother who loves curling up beside his people on the couch for pets and belly rubs, and he’s not
above dramatically knocking things off the coffee table when he wants attention or more room to
stretch out. Fuji is a little more cautious and prefers to let Ford test things out first, but once she
feels safe, she happily comes over to ask for pets while her foster works at their desk. Together
they love chasing their rainbow ribbon toy, watching birds chatter outside the window, snuggling
close together, and enjoying their favourite Churu treats. While they aren’t traditional lap cats, they
show affection in so many sweet little ways and truly thrive in each other’s company. One thing they
can both agree on, however, is that the doorbell is absolutely terrible. Ford and Fuji are ready to be
adopted together into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors.
