Rescue:

Pet Patrol was made aware of a mother cat, a teenage kitten and five little kittens about 10
weeks old that were living out in a field. They were searching for food during the day,
grasping at shade under shrubs and always in need of water. One woman had taken it
upon herself to start feeding the cats, putting out fresh water and soon they took up shelter
under her deck. They were at least safer than out in the open. It was one of our new
volunteers that offered to help rescue the cats, with the help of the lady who lived in the
house. A humane trap was put in place and one kitten and the mother cat were rescued the
first morning. That evening two more kittens came in and next morning one little one. Just
one more baby kitten out there and it came into our care soon after that. All the little ones
were timid at first, but it didn’t take long for them to become accustomed to the love and
affection they received from their foster mom. Now Mowgli and his sister Magnolia are ready
for their new home.

Personality:

Mowgli is a lovely little kitten and when you scoop him into your lap or have him sit beside
you he purrs like crazy for pets. He’ll even roll over and ask for tummy rubs. If you pet him
long enough he will start to fall asleep in your lap. He also loves it when you rub his face.
He is quite curious and will check out anything that is new, behind that door or in the closet.
He has to see it all. Mowgli likes the laser pointer and really gets running for it. He is ready
to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep
him safely indoors
