Rescue:
Pet Patrol has been working with a lady who lives in a small village for quite a few years.
Many, many cats have wandered over to her property from the neighbours’ where they had five
acres of junk. When the female cats become pregnant, they would migrate to this woman’s
property, specifically the chicken coop, and have their litter of kittens there. Then the cats are
moved to the woman’s studio where they are kept safe and are able to relax, be fed and
receive a lot of attention. This is the case of Dot, born in a chicken coop and brought into Pet
Patrol care with her entire feline family. She was adopted into a home with experienced cat
owners and a dog. We thought a forever home. However, unbeknownst to us, within a few
months Dot was advertised as a cat that ‘had to go – today – or she would be thrown into a
barn’. The threat was real and unnecessary. In all cases, if the kitty from Pet Patrol does not
work out in their adoptive home, they can come back to us. Luckily the ad was noticed by a
woman who knew this was not the right thing to do, and scooped Dot up quickly and then
contacted Pet Patrol asap. This little kitty is now happy and relaxed.
Personality:
Pretty little Dot is always out and about with her caregivers and is good company for everyone.
She likes to view the world, inside or out from the top of the cat tree, watching intently the birds
outside and the activities of her people inside. She is such a lovely cat, so sweet and gentle
too. She has her favorite toys and likes the plastic springs and a chirping mouse toy that
entertain her and anyone watching. Easy to pick up and carry, she is happy to cuddle up with
you at bedtime or on the couch as well. Dot is a wonderful little cat who is ready to be
adopted into her forever home, without dogs. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
