Rescue:
Pet Patrol received an email from a woman who has done cat rescue in the past and continues helping homeless cats in her area, placing them with rescues or finding them homes. She
was quite concerned about the number of cats in a certain home and that they were not being
cared for properly. The tenants were feeding the cats mashed chickpeas and other non cat
type food which was not providing them with all the nutrients they need. The litter was rice and
torn up newspaper and being heavy smokers the air was blue. Out of her own goodwill she
has provided proper cat litter, kibble and canned food as well to help the cats. With this better
nutrition they have thrived. However, staying in that home would not be in the cat’s best interests and she reached out to Pet Patrol for help for Nyla and her siblings. Apparently, there
were more cats before and they were removed from the house, to another cat rescue. We
gladly took them in, and after meeting them realized that they were well socialized.
Personality:
Nyla and her two sisters are lovely little cats who have been appreciated and treated
gently regardless of the environment they lived in. They are happy to be picked up and cuddled, held and carried around. They will come to you for affection and can be a bit chatty, but
only when they want something like their dinner or to be pet. They have really enjoyed exploring their foster home and discovering all the toys. They are especially excited about the laser
pen light and the wand toy. They like interactive toys with their caregivers, but are also able to
play independently with crinkle balls and .
