Rescue:

Rex is a preowned cat who was well cared for and happy in his new home. But life changes
sometimes and over the Covid pandemic new people moved into his home with him and his
owner and it was just too much for him. With additional people and other pets in the house, he
became quite stressed and was not coping well. His owner, a lovely lady recognized this and
knew that her living condition was not going to change, so Rex needed a home that would
better suit him. She reached out to her friends, who foster for Pet Patrol, and soon he was in
their quiet home. He has thrived since then and is now ready to find a forever home. Preferably with someone who is home often, working or retired.

Personality:

Rex is a mature cat, but that hasn’t slowed him down at all! He loves cuddling, sleeping with
his person, and playing with his toys. Rex is a social cat, almost a dog in a cat’s body, who
chirps when he walks into a room and prefers to be where the action is happening. He’s
friendly with guests and will always greet you at the door after a long day at work. He is great
company. Rex loves meeting new people and if overwhelmed with too many people or loud
noises he will simply choose to leave the situation. He is an explorer at heart and loves to
keep an eye on the home from the window perch or the back of the couch. Rex is ready to be
adopted into his forever home as an only cat or with a very passive and accepting buddy cat.
A home that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
