Rescue:
Pet Patrol has many supporters and many situations were cats are living on country properties. Those that are lucky enough to have a low cost spay neuter clinic in their area are able
to have their barn cats altered. This controls their colony so that they don’t have an abundance
of unwanted kittens born yearly. Although cats can be considered a dime a dozen in the most
remote places, we don’t need to have more born and continue the problem. In the case of
Sweetie she was a cat that would avoid the live trap at all costs. She was a timid barn cat,
and over time she showed what a friendly girl she was, but by that time she was heavily pregnant with a litter of five kittens. The farmer was sure that he heard the wee cries of new borns.
one day, and finally found them in a huge old fountain that is stored in the corner of the barn. it
is difficult to get to the inside of this garden feature, but just big enough for Sweetie, thus
making it a safe place to give birth. Soon this little feline family came into Pet Patrol care
Personality:
Our little beach themed girl Splish is very sweet and is the smallest of the litter, but that doesn’t
stop her from keeping up with her siblings! She is brave; new places, people and pets give
her a slight pause before she continues doing what she was doing. She likes to play with soft
balls and plastic springs, scale the cat tree with excitement and she will climb anything to get a
good view. Splish is ready to be adopted into her forever home with a playmate or sibling.
One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
