Rescue:
Pet Patrol has many supporters and many situations were cats are living on country properties. Those that are lucky enough to have a low cost spay neuter clinic in their area are able
to have their barn cats altered. This controls their colony so that they don’t have an abundance
of unwanted kittens born yearly. Although cats can be considered a dime a dozen in the most
remote places, we don’t need to have more born and continue the problem. In the case of
Sweetie she was a cat that would avoid the live trap at all costs. She was a timid barn cat,
and over time she showed what a friendly girl she was, but by that time she was heavily pregnant with a litter of five kittens. The farmer was sure that he heard the wee cries of new borns
one day, and finally found them in a huge old fountain that is stored in the corner of the barn. it
is difficult to get to the inside of this garden feature, but just big enough for Sweetie, thus
making it a safe place to give birth. Soon this little feline family came into Pet Patrol care.
Personality:
Our little beach themed boy Squirt is a bit, and would do best with a gentle sibling when going
into his new home. He isn’t a fan of new situations or people, but will watch the other kittens
and eventually b brave enough to follow their lead. He is as active and playful as the rest of the
kittens and likes to wrestle with them and chase toys around their room. He will burrow into
blankets and beds where there are cave like and go into a deep sleep. Squirt
is read to be adopted into his forever home with one of his siblings. A home that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors
