Rescue:
Rocky originally came into Pet Patrol care as an unborn kitten. One of our volunteers who
regularly rescues cats was contacted by a lady who lives outside a small village and she had
noticed a pregnant female cat wandering around her country property. She was concerned for
her safety as it was a predatory world for cats and kittens when they are born outdoors. Within
a day this mother cat was brought into care and soon after gave birth to a litter of kittens.
Rocky was one of them, and lucky to have been born indoors and not under a deck or in a
gopher hole. He was raised indoors and was a very adorable looking kitten and when he was
eight weeks of age he was adopted into a family home. Fast forward five years and Rocky
was still in his adopter’s home but has struggled with a minor health issue for years. They felt
that they had done everything that they could for him, and decided to return him to Pet Patrol to
find a new home. He has come into our care as a happy, healthy cat. What a good cat he is
and ready to share his love in a new home, with a new family, and forever.
Personality:
Rocky is a big boy! He is tall and long, not over weight, but husky. He is adorable and loves
being with people, being pet, cuddled and will curl up beside you at every chance. He likes
high perches so that he can see what is going on in the house, who is coming in the door and
especially what is going on outside. He likes to curl up in a cubby to sleep and cat beds are
the best. He is pretty fast at catching the wand toys and is always ready to play. He prefers to
be the only cat, possible just one other passive kitty, and a home with older children or adult
only. Rocky is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors
