Rescue:
A woman had noticed an orange female cat in her backyard and she began feeding her not
really thinking anymore of her than just being a stray. Then one day she noticed that Mitzie was
quite pregnant and she wasn’t sure what to do at that point, but she continued to feed her.
This petite kitty would hide amongst the tall ferns in her backyard, take refuge under the back
deck on rainy days and cold nights and she stayed pretty close to the woman’s yard. Then
one day she appeared with two kittens (Java and Jini) and was bringing them to the feeding
station as they were at least eight weeks of age. A plan was put into place and on the first
rescue day the two kittens were brought into our care and the next day Mitzie arrived. Although concerned about her change of environment she settled in shortly after.
Personality:
There were seven kittens in this litter and they have all thrived in the care of their foster home.
Each is playful and fun loving, chasing each other around their playroom and dashing through
the cat tunnel. Mina is fun loving and a bit rambunctious but gentle and cuddly. She can hold
her own with her brothers and isn’t afraid of anything. She is a pretty little cat who would do
well in her new home with a sibling or a playmate. One that will welcome her into the family
and keep her safely indoors
