Rescue:

Kanga was noticed up in a tree in a small village. This was during the long weekend when most
people had gone away camping or were visiting with family. There weren’t too many people
around but one family was enjoying their staycation at home. This little cat had been noticed
for quite some time and was approached by their family dog, but Kanga backed away and left.
They were afraid they would not see her again, but she returned the next day looking for her
dinner. There are children in this family who are very good with pets and they walked right over
and picked her up and cuddled her. Kanga was thoroughly enjoying it, so she must have
come from a home but why was she out here on her own? They listed her on the local lost pet
site but no one came forward and after a few days with the weather changing from hot to cold
and rain to top it off, they brought her inside and then onto a cat rescue organization. One of
their neighbours is a volunteer for Pet Patrol and Kanga was soon in our care.

Personality:

Kanga is a lovely little cat, affectionate and likes to be with people. She is quite the busy girl
and will check out everything; who is coming into the house, what is in the bag or the closet,
what is going on outside…she is quite inquisitive. She has readily adjusted to being indoors
again and has no interest in being out there, but it is good to be curious and be involved with
the activities in the house, inside and outside, while basking in the sun on top of the cat tree.
Kanga is playful and likes the three tier toys with balls in it, the cat tunnel is great to run through
or nap in, and anything that dangles or that she can chase. She is a wonderful cat and easy
going. Kanga is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into
the family and keep her safely indoors.
