Rescue:

In all communities now, there are social media sites to connect people and help them with
services and advise. A man reached out with an ad looking for help with several kittens that
were born on his property. Last year two female cats were dumped in his driveway on a cold
wet day and he watched from the warmth of his home as the car sped off and the cats ran
under his porch. He eventually got them into a warmer and more protected environment where
they were fed and sheltered. Both cats were female and one was quite obviously pregnant,
and the second cat, not long after their abandonment had a litter of kittens. He found homes
for most of them, but some stayed on his property. Fast forward a year and five more litters
were born totaling twenty three kittens around eight weeks of age, and another two new born
litters. The situation was out of control. The man said he knew he had to do something because he is elderly and wanted to stop the population explosion. Between Pet Patrol and
three other rescue groups we were able to take in all the kittens and take care of the rest of
the population of cats as well.

Personality:

Rebel, being the only boy of his litter is the ringleader of the three. He is a tiny boy but very
agile and active His foster mom finds him exploring the cat tunnel, chasing down toy mice and
plastic spring cat toys. He is also very cuddly and likes to be held, pet and talked to but usually at this age has lots of other things on his mind. Rebel is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One with a sibling (River) or playmate and that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors.
