Rescue:
Melvin and Maggie came from a smaller cat rescue organization who would like to do high
volume because of the demand in their area (mostly rural) but don’t have the space or finances.
Melvin & Maggie were just a few of the lucky ones that came from a home that just
had too many cats. The owner was getting concerned about finding all the cats good
homes. They were not born on the street, and did not have to deal with the ever changing
weather or becoming prey, luckily. The other rescue helped with having the adults spayed
or neutered at their vet, and these two little ones came into our care. Such nice kittens.
They had been handled by people all along so there was no worries about shyness or fitting
into a new environment.
Personality:
Melvin and Maggie have adjusted well to the many changes in their young lives. They have
thrived in the care of their foster home and are outgoing, curious and fun loving. Toys were
the most exciting thing for them, as they had not seen anything like it. Balls that roll and
bounce, some with bells in them! A cardboard box or cat tunnel gave them hours of play
time and fun. Both of these kittens are cuddly and affectionate, love their people and don’t
mind being picked up and carried around. They are wonderful. They would like to be
adopted together, as they are the only two from the litter and are quite bonded. Melvin and
Maggie are ready to be adopted into theri forever home. One that will
welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
