Weston

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who lives on a rural property. It is a quiet place,
away from the traffic, but somehow the stray cats seem to find them. Some are thought to
come from local barns, being curious the cats will roam from farm to farm seeing if the grass
is greener on the other side. Some stay and some move on. One day Weston showed up and
he was obviously not used to being outside on his own to fend for himself. He was very emaciated, actually looking like a very gaunt Siamese cat, his ribs could be counted and his hip
bones jutted out. He was pleading for help and just sat at their back patio door until they put
food out for him. Weston could not eat it fast enough. He was absolutely starving. Rather
than wait to see how he fairs the couple contacted Pet Patrol and he was brought into our
care. Within two hours of arriving at the sanctuary he was at the vet clinic hooked up to IV
fluids. He was very dehydrated and could not have waited another 24 hours or he would have
started to fail. Slowly but surely Weston recovered and all through his ordeal he showed us
that he was a very nice boy.

Personality:

Weston is just a wonderful, loving cat, grateful to have been rescued and brought into care.
He is very sweet, gentle and affectionate. He loves to be pet, cuddled, and will lean right into
you when you hold him. So nice to hear his contentment with deep purrs and kneading paws,
and the little kitty smile on his face just warms your heart. Although we have not seen much in
the way of playfulness with him yet, it will happen once he is comfortable in his environment.
He is curious though and likes to see what is happening in the house, and sticks pretty close
to his caregivers. Weston is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
