Rescue:
Cinnamon, Clove and Cardamom were rescued from a residential back yard. A young couple
called Pet Patrol to say they had noticed a mother cat living under their back shed. She would
go in and out of there all the time, and they thought someone was feeding her because she
had a big belly. She disappeared for three days and when she emerged she was quite thin.
She had given birth to her kittens. It took about five weeks for the babies to start coming out
and the couple reached out to Pet Patrol for help. They were asked to feed the cats and
watch to see exactly how many kittens were there, as sometimes the smallest one will take its
time coming out of hiding. Three were spotted and by this time the mother had disappeared.
She was never seen again. The kittens went into the humane trap to eat, and the door was
closed, from there they were taken into the care of one of Pet Patrol’s foster homes.
Personality:
Although all the kittens were unsure of people, being indoors and “what is all this petting
about?”, they have come along beautifully. Cardamom is the bravest of all of his siblings. He
is always the first to try something new. He loves to jump in the air to catch a wand toy, and
has even been known to do some flips. Cardamom has lots of energy and runs around all day
long. When he’s finished playing he is happy to purr softly when he’s held by his favourite people.
This handsome boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. Hopefully with a sibling
or other playmate. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
