Rescue:
Pet Patrol was approached by a woman who had done cat rescue many years ago. In
order to accommodate the cats, she moved to a home in a smaller village where the cat
overpopulation problem continues. Now retired from the business she is helping other
people rescue cats but not taking so many herself. She has come across a property where
the barn was torn down and the farmland is going to be re-purposed for a subdivision. This
is not an uncommon thing and what tends to happen is the cats migrate into the closest
neighbourhood for shelter and hopefully for food. One kind woman has been feeding these
cats but she has not been able to do much for more for them due to finances and health
issues. Our retired Rescuer is in the process of helping get the feral cats fixed and the
friendly cats into other rescues to be adopted into forever homes. This is the case for April
and her five kittens plus six others.
Personality:
April is the sweetest cat. She runs up to her people for pets and purrs on their lap and is
happy to receive affection and love. She will often greet you at the door and likes you to
know she’s there and welcome home. Being a tiny cat April likes to find small and tight
places to sleep, like under an upholstered chair or behind the TV, private for a nice sleep
but close to the action. Toys are always fun for her and especially the wand toys or anything with catnip in it, she will bat it around, roll around on the floor and have a good tussle
with it. April is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors.
