Rescue:
Little Andy and Amber were born on a farm. It was way off the beaten path and there was
not another property within view. Their mother cat showed up as a stray in the fall and
appeared to be very thin and disheveled. She looked like she had traveled a long way, and
was lucky to find the farm before a predator got her. She spent the winter with the other
barn cats, trying to find a warm comfortable place during the cold weather. The cats were
fed which was good because they would maintain decent weight. Being unspayed it was
just a matter of time for her to reveal her pregnancy this spring and she had her kittens in
the hayloft. When the nest was discovered the kittens were about six weeks old and that is
when Pet Patrol was notified. The mother cat has since been spayed and the kittens came
into our care at the same time. They have loved being inside and safe.
Personality:
Andy is a free spirit and tears around the house bravely seeking new things to play with.
He loves the feather wand, toy mice and wants to know what his people are doing. He
likes his share of snuggles too. He will need a good playmate in his new home. Andy and
his sister complement each other and make a purrfect set of kitties for a nice family. Andy
is ready to be adopted into his forever home, with his sister Amber. One that will welcome
them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
