Rescue:
Vinny was spotted wandering around a country property looking ragged, hungry, and in need of
help. The home sits just outside a small country subdivision surrounded by several farms, and it’s
possible Vinny had travelled from one of them. The woman living there already had cats of her own,
which may have attracted him to the property, and she couldn’t ignore this sweet boy in need. She
began feeding and watering him and, during cold or rainy weather, allowed him to shelter safely
inside her enclosed porch. Before long, Vinny became a familiar sight, often waiting for her to come
home while resting beneath the ornamental tree near the front of the property. With the road close
by and no permanent home to call his own, she worried about his safety and began searching for
help. Although she couldn’t take on another cat herself, she made sure Vinny was fed, sheltered,
played with, and cared for until he could come into Pet Patrol’s care.
Personality:
Vinny is a very sweet, easygoing boy who is discovering all the wonderful things that come with
indoor life. He is learning how much fun toys can be and has also been figuring out how to live
alongside other cats and become a good feline friend. Vinny is perfectly content relaxing on the
couch and watching the world go by, especially when he can curl up beside one of the resident cats
for company. He has even formed a special friendship with little Gator, and the two enjoy spending
time together. Gentle, relaxed, and increasingly social, Vinny is settling beautifully into life as a
cherished indoor cat. Vinny is ready to be adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
