Hershey

Rescue:

Hershey’s story began on a small hobby farm surrounded by horses, a pig, rabbits, and poultry,
where a kindhearted animal lover has always opened her heart to animals in need. The farm sits
across the road from a butcher shop, an area where stray cats are often drawn by the nearby
dumpsters and where unowned cats frequently wander in from surrounding farms. One day, a
friendly female cat arrived at the property looking for food and shelter. The woman welcomed her,
knowing she was pregnant, and before long the sweet cat gave birth to two kittens. One kitten
quickly found a home, but little Hershey was still searching for his own family. Around that same time,
Pet Patrol had taken in a young kitten who was all alone, so Hershey was welcomed into our care to
provide his with a companion and a chance at a brighter future. His rescuer continues to care for
his mother, who will remain as a beloved barn cat after being spayed, ensuring she will never have
to raise another litter. Thanks to her compassion and responsible care, Hershey now has the
opportunity to grow up safe, loved, and ready to find his forever home.

Personality:

Hershey has come such a long way since arriving in foster care. At first, this little guy wasn’t quite
sure what to think of his new surroundings and preferred to keep to himself. After spending a few
days settling in, his true personality began to shine. Once introduced to Honey, the two quickly
became the best of friends and can often be found wrestling, chasing each other around the room,
climbing cat trees, and batting tinker balls and string toys back and forth for hours. As his
confidence has grown, so has his affectionate side. Hershey is becoming more cuddly every day
and is learning just how wonderful life with people can be. Sweet, playful, and full of potential,
Hershey is blossoming into a wonderful companion who will bring endless joy to his forever family.
Hershey is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors.
