Rescue:
Pet Patrol was alerted to a rural property where the number of cats had quietly grown beyond what
one family could manage. After an elderly woman passed away, her daughter inherited the property
and the many cats her mother had lovingly cared for over the years. As time went on, it became
clear that keeping up with spaying and neutering had become impossible, and by the time help
arrived, there were 12 adult cats and 19 kittens living throughout the property. The cats had
managed to create cozy little shelters for themselves amongst the farm equipment. A heat lamp in
the chicken coop helped keep many of them warm, and despite their circumstances, the cats were
healthy, friendly, and eager for attention. Volunteers were greeted by affectionate adults weaving
around their legs while tiny kittens peeked out shyly from behind abandoned fridges, stacked lawn
chairs, and hidden corners before slowly venturing out to investigate. They were safely brought into
Pet Patrol’s care, where they could begin their next chapter in loving foster homes.
Personality:
Paisley is a sweet little mama whose own playful, kittenlike personality shines brighter every day.
Petite in size with the sweetest tiny meow, she adores people and is happiest wherever her
humans are. Head kisses, gentle pets, and lap time are among her favourite things, and now that
she’s discovered how wonderful laps are, she would happily spend all day curled up in one. Paisley
is very talkative and loves greeting her people when they enter the room, answering when she’s
called, and politely announcing when it’s time for dinner. She still enjoys playing just as much as
her kittens do, especially batting the balls around her favourite track toy. As she continues adjusting
to life as a cherished indoor cat, she’s discovering the comforts of beds, couches, and all the little
luxuries she missed while raising her family. Gentle, affectionate, and endlessly loving, Paisley is
ready to enjoy the carefree life she has always deserved, preferably as the sole queen of the
household so she doesn’t need to compete for attention. Paisley is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
