Rivelle

Rescue:

Pet Patrol was alerted to a rural property where the number of cats had quietly grown beyond what
one family could manage. After an elderly woman passed away, her daughter inherited the
farmhouse, barn, drive shed, chicken coop, and the many cats her mother had lovingly cared for
over the years. As time went on, it became clear that keeping up with spaying and neutering had
become impossible, and by the time help arrived, there were 12 adult cats and 19 kittens living
throughout the property. While the buildings themselves were a little worn and cluttered, the cats
had managed to create cozy little shelters for themselves amongst the farm equipment, stacked
furniture, boxes, and warm straw scattered through the sheds and coop. A heat lamp in the chicken
coop helped keep many of them warm, and despite their circumstances, the cats were healthy,
friendly, and eager for attention. Volunteers were greeted by affectionate adults weaving around
their legs while tiny kittens peeked out shyly from behind abandoned fridges, stacked lawn chairs,
and hidden corners before slowly venturing out to investigate. They were safely brought into Pet
Patrol’s care, where they could begin their next chapter in loving foster homes.

Personality:

Rivelle is a little sparkplug with a big personality and so much affection to give. She loves attention
and wants to be exactly where you are, whether that means sitting on you, climbing you, following
you, or simply making sure she is touching you somehow. Rivelle is always seeking out love and
affection, and she adores belly rubs, kisses, and being held. She has the sweetest way of melting
into your hands for snuggles before suddenly remembering she has important kitten business to
attend to, like chaotic zoomies and chasing springs around the room. She is playful, loving, and
wonderfully entertaining. Handraised around children and used to being handled often, Rivelle is a
wellsocialized, affectionate girl. Raised with many other kittens, she is used to companionship and
would likely enjoy another feline friend in her forever home. Rivelle would like to be adopted into a
home that will keep her safely indoors.
