Otto

Rescue:

Pet Patrol was alerted to a rural property where the number of cats had quietly grown beyond what
one family could manage. After an elderly woman passed away, her daughter inherited the
farmhouse, barn, drive shed, chicken coop, and the many cats her mother had lovingly cared for
over the years. As time went on, it became clear that keeping up with spaying and neutering had
become impossible, and by the time help arrived, there were 12 adult cats and 19 kittens living
throughout the property. While the buildings themselves were a little worn and cluttered, the cats
had managed to create cozy little shelters for themselves amongst the farm equipment, stacked
furniture, boxes, and warm straw scattered through the sheds and coop. A heat lamp in the chicken
coop helped keep many of them warm, and despite their circumstances, the cats were healthy,
friendly, and eager for attention. Volunteers were greeted by affectionate adults weaving around
their legs while tiny kittens peeked out shyly from behind abandoned fridges, stacked lawn chairs,
and hidden corners before slowly venturing out to investigate. They were safely brought into Pet
Patrol’s care, where they could begin their next chapter in loving foster homes.

Personality:

Otto is as sweet as can be. The smallest of his litter, this fluffy little boy has a calm, gentle nature
that makes him easy to love. He enjoys playing and will happily join in for the occasional romp with
his kitten friends, but he is also very content to slow things down and enjoy a cozy nap. Otto loves a
good lap nap and is the kind of kitten who brings a soft, peaceful sweetness wherever he goes.
Handraised around children and used to being handled often, he is wellsocialized and
comfortable with love and attention. Raised with many other kittens, Otto is used to having
companionship and would likely enjoy a kitten friend in his forever home. He would be a wonderful
match for someone looking for a gentle, affectionate kitten with just the right amount of playful spirit.
Otto would like to be adopted into a home that will keep him safely indoors.
