Rescue:
Susie’s story began on a warm evening at the end of June. The family’s son was walking home and
heard a faint, squeaky sound coming from the bushes in front of their porch. When he looked
closer, he found a tiny kitten—Susie—alone and struggling. She was quickly brought inside, gently
cleaned up, and given a safe place to rest. The family asked around the neighborhood over the
next couple of days, but no one recognized her. It was later mentioned that a cat had recently been
hit by a car nearby, and it was feared that Susie may have lost her mother. With many stray cats in
the area, her situation was not uncommon, but no less heartbreaking. Wanting to help, the family
provided kitten food, milk, and a cozy space for her to recover, though she quickly showed her
adventurous side by exploring every corner—including hiding under drapes. As time went on, their
dog began showing aggression toward her, making it unsafe for Susie to remain in the home.
Knowing she deserved better, they made the difficult decision to seek help.

loves playing in boxes and has even mastered her own version of catch with crinkly candy
wrappers. Susie has a cozy side too—she adores hiding under blankets for naps and has been
known to surprise her family when she suddenly pops out from her favorite hiding spots. She gets
the zoomies every morning and enjoys her bursts of playful energy, balanced with sweet cuddle
time. Susie loves people and has shown interest in dogs, though she would thrive in a home where
she feels safe and comfortable. She often sleeps beside her favorite person, tucked under the
