Rescue:
Hallie and Hunter came from a small, remote village about 45 minutes from the sanctuary, where a
kindhearted woman known for helping cats was connected to their story. An elderly woman in her
80s had discovered a mother cat and her kittens in her garage and compassionately welcomed
them into her home. She lovingly raised the kittens, handling them gently and ensuring they were
cared for and socialized in a quiet, nurturing environment. However, her family grew concerned that
with energetic kittens racing underfoot, there was a risk she could fall. While the kittens were
friendly and sweet, they had only been exposed to her and would benefit from meeting more
people and experiencing a broader environment. Arrangements were made for Hallie and Hunter to
come to Pet Patrol so they could continue to grow and find loving homes of their own. The elderly
woman chose to keep the mother cat, and with her family’s support, Pet Patrol ensured she was
spayed so no further litters would be born.
Personality:
Hunter is a very handsome boy who may be a little shy at first, but warms up nicely with a gentle
and patient approach. Once he feels comfortable, his curious nature really begins to shine. He
enjoys being petted and will often follow his people around, wanting to stay close and see what’s
going on. Hunter loves to sunbathe in the window, happily watching birds and squirrels as they
pass by. He also enjoys playtime with wand toys and will join in when the mood strikes. When it’s
time to relax, Hunter can usually be found tucked into a cozy cat house or curled up on soft
blankets, enjoying a peaceful nap. Hunter is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
