Rescue:
Patchouli’s story began when a woman who had previously done extensive cat rescue work in a
small town about 45 minutes from the sanctuary contacted us. She had noticed a post on local
social media searching for the owner of a young dilute calico kitten. The little cat had been found
crying beneath a woman’s front porch on a street known for having a large stray cat population.
Wanting to keep her safe, the woman brought the kitten inside while attempts were made to locate
her owner. Unfortunately, no one came forward. The home sits not far from a feed mill, with
farmland and barns beyond it, so Patchouli could easily have wandered in from the surrounding
rural area or possibly arrived hidden on a passing truck. Though the woman did her best to help,
her two older cats were not accepting of the newcomer. With no owner found and nowhere safe for
her to remain, Patchouli was welcomed into Pet Patrol’s care where she could begin a better
chapter.
Personality:
Patchouli is a sweet and delightful little kitten with a bright, playful spirit. She is easy to handle and
loves being picked up and held, happily settling into your arms for cuddles. Curious and alert, she
takes in everything around her with confident kitten energy and enthusiasm. From the moment she
arrived at the sanctuary, Patchouli made herself comfortable, curling up in her cozy kitty bed as if
she knew she had finally found safety and comfort. She is friendly, outgoing, and unbothered by
new surroundings, showing a natural confidence that makes her a joy to be around. With her
affectionate nature and playful personality, Patchouli is ready to fill a home with fun and
companionship. Patchouli is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors.
