Bud

Bud

Bud

Rescue:

Bud’s story begins in a small village where a dedicated woman has worked tirelessly to reduce the
stray cat population on her own. Her property sits across from a fiveacre lot filled with dumpsters,
trailers, sheds, and a stable—plenty of shelter for wandering cats, but very little reliable food. Over
the years, female cats have sought refuge in her empty chicken coop to safely deliver kittens away
from predators. Through persistence and compassion, she has rescued many of them, ensuring
they were spayed or neutered and placed with Pet Patrol or suitable rural properties if they were
not social. Bud appeared unexpectedly one summer, then vanished for several months before
returning thin and looking for food. She began caring for him and, with no clear plan for his future,
kept him safely in her studio for three months. During a conversation with a Pet Patrol volunteer, his
situation was mentioned, and arrangements were quickly made for Bud to come into care. He has
since adjusted well to life at the sanctuary and is ready for his next chapter.

Personality:

Bud is a calm and quiet boy who has truly blossomed since coming into Pet Patrol’s care. He will
greet you with gentle affection, happily looking for head and chin scratches. Bud has adjusted
wonderfully to indoor life and is clearly loving it. He enjoys all the attention he can get and is a true
sweetheart who simply wants to be near people and soak up their love. Bud is now waiting to find
his forever home — one that will keep him safe, loved, and indoors
