Pixley

Pixley

Pixley

Rescue:

Pixley came from a trailer home belonging to a very elderly woman whose health had declined significantly. The home was in deep disrepair, dark and stuffy, with raccoons having broken in through holes in the structure. When she arrived at Pet Patrol, it was clear that while she had been fed, her care had been lacking for some time. His and a companion, Gus, were covered in fleas, their coats dull and sun scorched, and their bodies scratched from navigating the cramped and cluttered space. What should have been sleek black fur appeared almost sable in color from sun damage and poor conditions. They ate and drank ravenously upon arrival, and although frightened at first, it didn’t take long for them to relax in their new, clean environment. With steady care and a quiet space to decompress, Pixley and Gus have both begun to heal—physically and emotionally

Personality:

Pixley has come such a long way during her time with Pet Patrol. Having only known one world before, new people and other cats were unfamiliar at first. Once she began spending time in the playroom and observing the other cats, her confidence truly blossomed. She’s now a very friendly, pettable girl who enjoys being part of the action. She’ll often lean against your leg for attention, jump up to be closer to you, and happily soak up head scratches, pets, and brushing. She enjoys playing with toys and does well with other cats, making her a lovely companion with a gentle, affectionate nature. Watching her grow into herself has been incredibly rewarding. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
