Rescue:
Where Chase came from is hard to say. He was found in a small town where neighbors know one another and traffic is quiet and slow. On a winter day, a woman was outside shoveling snow when she heard the unmistakable cry of a kitten. At first, she couldn’t locate the sound, until she realized it was coming from a large dumpster placed in the middle of the cul-de-sac for residents to discard garbage and debris. The tiny kitten was trapped at the bottom, unable to climb out. Whether he had climbed in searching for food or shelter, he was clearly stuck and in need of help. The woman immediately rescued him and brought him home, then contacted a local woman who helps with small scale rescue in the village. Unable to keep him due to her dogs not being cat friendly, help was sought to ensure Chase could move on to safety, warmth, and a much brighter future.
