Rescue:
During a fierce winter storm, Violet was found desperately rushing around the parking lot of a pet food store, clearly frightened and unsure where to go for safety. A man plowing the lot noticed her distress and immediately sought help from the store staff. Violet darted toward two large garbage bins, jumping in and out in panic as they approached, until finally she allowed a gentle touch — and instantly melted into calm relief. She was scooped up, held close, and began purring with gratitude, clearly exhausted from surviving outdoors. When given food, she ate ravenously, confirming she had been on her own far too long. The staff contacted a woman from a small nearby rescue, who agreed to help, and Violet stayed safely in the store until she could be transported. Now in Pet Patrol care, Violet is warm, loved, and finally protected from the dangers she once faced alone.
Personality:
Violet is a very sweet and affectionate girl with a gentle, quiet nature. She hardly says a peep, but she shows her love through soft cuddles and happily spending time with her people. Violet enjoys playing with her toys and especially loves watching the world go by from a high cat perch or windowsill. She’s calm, loving, and content to simply be near those she trusts. Violet would do well in a peaceful home and may be comfortable with another friendly cat and respectful older children. Violet is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
