Rescue:
Pet Patrol was contacted by a woman who was concerned about her daughter’s quickly growing
cat population at home. She had originally adopted two kittens — one male and one female — but
without being spayed or neutered, the number of cats soon multiplied. Shandy was one of the
affectionate kittens born there, sharing the home with many siblings. What began as just two
companions had grown into a household of fourteen friendly felines, all living indoors and used to
children, attention, and affection. Knowing that this was more than her daughter could manage, the
family reached out for help. Over the course of two weeks, the cats and kittens were brought into
Pet Patrol’s care in small groups. Each one received a full veterinary check, including spay or
neuter surgery, and then was welcomed into the sanctuary or foster homes. Thanks to this family’s
willingness to seek support and Pet Patrol’s quick response, Shandy now has the chance to find a
safe, loving forever home — with the comfort and care she deserves.
Personality:
Shandy is a very chatty, affectionate little girl who loves attention. She enjoys being noticed and will
happily tell you all about her day with her sweet voice. With her big, soulful eyes and friendly
nature, Shandy is quick to charm everyone she meets. She’s playful, outgoing, and would do well in
a home where she gets plenty of interaction and companionship. Shandy is ready to be adopted
into her forever home where there is already a friendly kitty, or with her sibling Singapore. One that
will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
