Rescue
Two Pet Patrol volunteers were called to a traditional farm, where the owners explained they “had
more cats if we needed them” and generously offered to share them with us. Among the group
were five tiny kittens — Garnet, Goose, Glimma, Gia, and Gabby — all only around eight weeks
old. They were darting in and out of hay bales and slipping through the horse stalls, weaving under
hoofs as they tried to avoid being picked up. It was concerning to watch because one wrong step
from a horse could have led to serious injury. Thankfully, at such a young age, they were easy to
scoop up safely and place into carriers. All five kittens were brought into Pet Patrol care, giving
them the chance to grow up in safety, warmth, and comfort — far from the dangers of barn life.
Personality:
Garnet is the perfect blend of playful energy and gentle sweetness—truly the best of both worlds.
This lovely little girl is as happy chasing toys as she is curling up for a quiet cuddle, making her a
wonderful match for almost any home. She especially adores ball toys and anything that jingles; the
soft bell sound sends her into adorable pounces and wiggles as she shows off her kitten skills.
Whether she’s batting toys across the room or racing after her friends, Garnet plays with joyful
enthusiasm and a bright, curious spirit. Just as charming is her snuggly side. After a fun play
session, Garnet loves nothing more than settling into a warm, cozy spot—especially by the fire—for
a peaceful nap. She melts right into the moment, turning into a tiny, purring bundle of comfort. She
enjoys the company of other kittens and would thrive in a home with a playful feline friend who can
match her energy and share her love of companionship. With her balanced personality, Garnet
brings both laughter and calm to any space. She’s affectionate, social, and always ready to make
her humans smile. This sweet girl will grow into a loyal, loving companion who fills her home with
warmth and charm. For her safety and happiness, Garnet should be kept safely indoors.
