Rescue:
This little family — Gigi, Georgie, Gizmo, Ginger, and Gadget — were rescued from a local
children’s park area where an outdoor colony of cats regularly migrates. It is believed they were
part of a group from the previous year who had been missed during earlier rescues. They were
spending their time in the backyard of an older woman, and she had begun feeding them when
they started appearing more frequently. At first she thought there were only two, as several of them
looked so similar, but when trapping began the truth came out — the mother was caught first, then
two kittens. The woman insisted there was still one more orange kitten, and sure enough, another
trap was set and the final baby was caught, having been fending for itself for nearly two weeks.
They were housed safely in a spare room until coming into Pet Patrol’s care, and within just a few
days they showed how friendly, trusting, and kind natured they truly were.
Personality:
Gizmo and Gadget are an inseparable pair who balance each other perfectly. Gizmo is the
confident, curious brother with endless energy, always leading the way on new adventures and
encouraging his shyer brother to join in. Gadget is a gentle, sweet natured boy who happily follows
Gizmo’s lead, soaking up affection and taking in the world at his own pace. They love racing
through tunnels, wrestling, and playing with toys. After playtime, Gizmo likes to snuggle under the
covers while Gadget prefers stretching out on your lap for pets and cuddles. Gizmo warms up
quickly and will tell you when he’s ready for attention with his soft, squeaky meows, while Gadget
likes to observe from a little distance before coming over. Both boys are learning to be brave with
new people abd being picked up, but churu treats and kind voices win them over fast. Gizmo and
Gadget are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family
and keep them safely indoors.
