ADOPTION PROFILE

Elody

Elody

Elody

Rescue:

Elody appears to have been someone’s pet at one time — she is far too affectionate and people-focused
to have grown up outdoors. Sadly, it seems she was either dumped or left behind, because
she spent several months trying to survive outside on her own. Neighbours began noticing her
slipping into sheds and garages to hunt mice, and compassionate residents started putting food out
for her. As the weather shifted and the nights grew colder, the urgency to help her increased: she
continued showing up daily, thin, shivering, and clearly hoping to come inside. Despite everything,
she remained friendly and eager for human contact, pressing her head into hands whenever
someone reached toward her. It was obvious she desperately wanted warmth and stability again.
Once space opened at Pet Patrol, Elody was brought into care — finally safe, finally indoors, and
finally given the chance at the secure, loving home she had been waiting for.

Personality:

Elody is a confident, affectionate, and charismatic cat who seems to believe every room she enters
has been waiting just for her. She loves people — adults and kids alike — and thrives on
interaction, play, and companionship. She has a lot to say and happily “talks back” when spoken to,
always eager for conversation. Elody enjoys chasing toys, showing off her athletic jumps, and then
curling up on a warm lap for a nap. Ear rubs, chin scratches, and fullbody
pets send her into happy wiggles with a waving tail. While she prefers to be the only cat in the home, she may do well with a
carefully matched feline companion. With striking eyes, unique markings, and a perfect mix of
sweetness and sass, Elody is ready to be cherished by a family who will give her all the attention
she craves. Elody is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
