Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers who lives about 45 minutes from the sanctuary first found Springer at
her door. He would appear for a few days at a time, then disappear again, but every visit he made
was full of charm. As the weather grew colder he returned more frequently, rolling over to show his
belly, asking for pets, and doing everything he could to convince her he wanted to belong. Living in
the country, she often sees cats around the property — some feral, some friendly — but Springer
stood out as clearly abandoned. She checked community and lost pet pages, hoping to find an
owner, but no one came forward. So she brought him into her home for safety and within days,
arranged for him to come into Pet Patrol’s care. Springer was neutered, vaccinated, microchipped,
and looked after — and this sweet boy finally had his chance at a safe future.
Personality:
Springer adjusted to sanctuary life almost instantly and has been one of the easiest cats to
integrate into the group. He moved through the sanctuary like he had always belonged there. He
greets volunteers and visitors at the door, happy to see anyone who walks into the room, and leans
in right away for pets. His gentle, social nature draws people in — he truly loves affection, calm
company, and simply being included. Springer is easygoing, trusting, and full of warmth, and would
thrive in a home where he can be part of daily life with his family. Springer is ready to be adopted
into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
