Dolly

Dolly

Rescue:

Dolly was found by a woman who rescues puppies, curled tightly in the corner of her front porch.
The woman was unable to bring Dolly inside and worried something might be wrong, so she placed
a covered litterbox on the porch to give her shelter. Dolly climbed inside, head down, completely
shut down. Food was offered but she would not eat. For three hours she lay there, motionless and
defeated. The finder posted her online, and Pet Patrol was contacted to scan her for a microchip,
certain she must belong to someone — but she did not. She was brought into care, and at first
there was concern she had been injured or was sick. Within twenty minutes of gentle pets and soft,
calm reassurance, Dolly transformed — the fear fell away and the sweet, affectionate cat
underneath began to emerge.

Personality:

Dolly absolutely melts for pets and purrs instantly. She loves to climb into a warm lap during TV
time, snuggle between your legs, and be talked to gently. She loves toys and tries to be the fastest
one to grab them, happily entertaining herself but also enjoying the company of other cats once she
has had time to adjust. She has striking amber orange eyes, the softest little head, and an
affectionate personality that blossoms beautifully once she trusts you. Dolly doesn’t enjoy being
picked up — she gets squirmy — and she can be unsure of new people at first, but she warms
quickly. Dolly is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family
and keep her safely indoors.
