Remi

Remi

Remi

Rescue:

Remi, a small black kitten, appeared at the back door of a rural home, rubbing against the screen
and meowing to be let in. For weeks, the homeowners had seen her darting under the porch and
hiding near the woodpile, trying to befriend their indoor cat. With barns nearby, they assumed she
had wandered over in search of food and safety. As they prepared to leave for a long weekend,
they worried about leaving her behind. A nearby volunteer brought a humane trap, and to
everyone’s surprise, Remi sat patiently watching as it was set up — then calmly walked right in. It
was as if she knew help had finally arrived. Now safe and cared for, this sweet girl no longer has to
face cold nights and empty days alone.

Personality:

Remi is a sweet, tenderhearted
girl with the most loving eyes. Her greatest joy in life is making
friends—especially feline ones. She adores other cats and greets them with instant affection,
rubbing up against them and snuggling close whenever she can. Though still a little shy with
people, Remi’s confidence blossoms when she has a cat companion by her side to show her that
the world is safe. She doesn’t mind being picked up and enjoys gentle affection, especially when
approached calmly. With time and patience, she’s learning that toys can be fun and will quietly
watch her foster siblings play before joining in. Remi loves to chirp softly for attention or snacks, her
sweet meow impossible to resist. She’s often found perched on the back of the couch, gazing out
the window or napping in a cozy spot. Remi would love to be adopted with her foster brother
Humboldt, but would be happy in a calm home with another gentle cat. Remi is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
