Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a traditional farm where a mother cat had chosen a bucket lined with
straw as her nursery. A photo showed Whitney curled up tightly inside, nursing her kittens against a
cold cement wall and floor—far from warm or cozy, but the only shelter she could find. When a
volunteer arrived on a quiet summer day, Whitney had been moved into a chicken box with her
five little ones, where at least she could keep them more secure. Despite the meager surroundings,
Whitney’s sweet and happy-go-lucky
nature shone through. She was friendly, trusting, and devoted
to her babies, passing along her gentle, positive personality to them as they grew. Thanks to Pet
Patrol, Whitney and her kittens are now safe, cared for, and ready for brighter futures.
Personality:
Whitney is a loving and easygoing cat whose nurturing nature has made her a favorite at the
sanctuary. After raising her own kittens and even helping care for a few extra litters, she’s now
ready to enjoy a life focused on play, comfort, and affection. She loves stretching out on the bed,
exploring the climbers, and chasing toys around the room. Whitney has grown to enjoy the
company of other cats and is always happy to soak up human attention. Whitney is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
