Rescue:

Pet Patrol receives many calls each day, and sometimes people arrive at the door unexpectedly, just as one family did—by horse and buggy. In the back they carried a homemade wooden-and-wire carrier with a black and white tuxedo cat inside. Born on the farm, Socks had been picked on by the other cats, so the family began feeding him closer to the house. Soon he wanted to come inside, sometimes sneaking in and making himself at home. But they didn’t want an indoor cat and knew he deserved better. Having been cuddled and carried by the children, Socks arrived at Pet Patrol already a gentle, happy-go-lucky boy, ready for a proper home where he could finally stay inside for good.

Personality:

Socks is an easygoing, curious cat who’s just as content quietly watching birds out the window as he is chasing after a shiny crinkly toy. He loves feathers, sparkly things, and will happily entertain himself between naps. He purrs instantly when receiving attention, and he’s quick to trust the wonderful humans around him. He’s a sweet, gentle boy who brings a calming presence to the home and enjoys your company. With his soft coat and mellow nature, Socks is a lovely companion ready to find a family who will love him for the chill, affectionate guy he is. Socks is ready to be adopted into his forever home—one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
