Rescue:
Vaesite’s story begins along a busy walking trail that winds between homes and fields. For weeks,
this brave young cat was seen darting between the rushes and weeds, sleeping on compost heaps
and scrounging for food near the drainage creek. Some kind walkers left treats or let him trot
alongside their dogs, while others shooed him away—but Vaesite just wanted to be near people.
Eventually, his desperation outweighed his fear, and one evening he began following a young man,
crying softly for help. The man called his family, who returned with food and treats, and after several
cautious attempts, they finally coaxed Vaesite indoors. It was terrifying at first for this little cat who
had lived so long outside, but once safe and warm, he began to show his true self—loving, trusting,
and full of gratitude.
Personality:
Now that he knows love, Vaesite is a devoted and affectionate companion. He’s a total snuggler
who greets everyone with nose rubs and head bumps, happiest when he can curl up by your head
or shoulder for pets and scritches. Though he’s still wary of sudden movements, he’s incredibly
tolerant and enjoys belly rubs, “toe bean” tickles, and quiet play with toy mice, springs, and catnip
kickers. Vaesite would do best in a calm, patient home where his confidence can continue to grow.
Once he trusts you, he’s pure love—and a certified tripping hazard, since he’s always underfoot
hoping for more affection. Vaesite is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
