Humboldt

Rescue:

These sweet kittens have quite the story! They were born to a mama cat in Woodstock while her
owner was in hospice. After his passing, the family was overwhelmed. His wife wanted to keep the
mama and planned to have her spayed, while the kittens needed a safe, loving space to grow. A
kind niece stepped in, bringing the mama and her eight kittens into her home. She lovingly raised
them for 9–10 weeks, giving them full access to the house, plenty of socialization, and all the care a
tiny kitten could need. They learned to play, explore, and enjoy life as happy, confident little cats.
When it was time for more support, she reached out to rescues across the area, but no one could
help. Thankfully, Pet Patrol was able to welcome them, and these kittens have been thriving ever
since! All are healthy, playful, and ready for their forever homes. They’re proof that a little love and
patience goes a long way.

Personality:

Humboldt isn’t quite as outgoing as his brothers, but that doesn’t make him shy—he just prefers to
take his time and observe before diving in. With his calm, watchful nature, he gives off “big brother
energy,” keeping an eye on everything around him and looking after his siblings. Once he decides
you’re safe, though, his purr motor starts up strong, and he happily head butts, rubs against you,
and soaks up all the love he can get. Playtime is one of his favorite parts of the day, especially
racing through tunnels with his brothers, which always brings out his playful side. When it’s time to
rest, Humboldt is just as content curled up in a cozy bed or buried at the bottom of a snuggle pile
with his siblings. He would love to be adopted with one of his brothers—Hayden, Houston, or
Hawkesbury—or into a home with another friendly cat who can match his energy. Humboldt is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
