Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers lives in a small village surrounded by farms and close to a conservation area where strays often appear. To help, feeding stations and insulated shelters are always available for any cat in need. Early in the spring, while snow was still on the ground and cold rains fell, a new face showed up—Brea. A neighbor also noticed her and began putting food out, but while she never let anyone close, she would meow when she saw people. Before long, it was clear she was pregnant, her belly growing rounder each day. A live trap was set, but Brea was too clever to be caught. Weeks later, she reappeared at the volunteer’s feeding station—with five tiny kittens in tow. This time, the whole little family was rescued and brought safely indoors. Brea, who clearly knew the comfort of a home, settled in right away, while her babies took a little longer to feel secure. Now, thanks to her rescue, everyone is thriving.
Personality:
Brea is a sweet and affectionate girl who quickly wins hearts with her gentle nature. She loves playtime—chasing balls, batting at wands, and scratching happily at her pad. She gets along well with other adult cats in her foster home and even tries to nuzzle up to the dog. Brea also adores her people, often following them around to keep them company and curling up beside them on the couch. She would love a forever home where she has another kitty companion, as she enjoys feline company as much as human affection. With her playful, loving spirit, Brea is ready to bring warmth and joy to her new family. Brea is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
