Rescue:
Damita and her siblings were born to a mama cat living in a managed colony. When their primary
caregiver passed away, a neighbour stepped in to feed the cats. Mama chose to have her kittens
under the neighbour’s deck, and at first they were simply enjoyed from a distance. But as the
kittens grew and began eating more, help was sought to ensure they could be cared for properly.
The kittens were humanely trapped and brought into foster care to be socialized, while mama and
dad will soon be trapped, fixed, and released to live healthy, safe lives in their colony.
Personality:
Damita is the only girl in the litter and was carefully guarded by her brothers until they learned to
trust their foster. Though she took the longest to come around, her progress has been
heartwarming, climbing into her foster’s lap and even offering a few sweet kisses. She loves
chasing toys and doesn’t mind if her brothers join in. Damita is ready to be adopted into her forever
home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
