Rescue:
Sweetie’s story begins on a peaceful hobby farm surrounded by 100 acres of fields and forest. With
rescue horses, two donkeys, chickens, and cats, the property is full of life and cared for by a
woman who has devoted her life to animals. Years ago, she had all her barn cats spayed and
neutered, doing her part to prevent overpopulation. But the surrounding woods also meant danger
—especially from coyotes. One day, she noticed a small, unwell kitten in the barn. Sweetie had
clearly been struggling on her own. She had a cold and, most concerning of all, a severe eye
infection. By the time she was found, the infection had destroyed her eye, leaving her vulnerable
and in pain. Knowing Sweetie needed more than she could provide, the woman reached out to Pet
Patrol for help. Sweetie was soon in our care, where she received immediate veterinary attention
and the comfort of a safe, indoor space.
Personality:
Sweetie certainly lives up to her name. She’s an adorable, dainty little girl with a gentle spirit and a
heart full of love. Affectionate and playful, Sweetie enjoys being with her people—whether it’s
curling up nearby, accepting chin scratches, or being scooped up for cuddles. She’s graceful and
calm, a real “girly girl,” and does well with other friendly cats. If things get a little too lively, she’ll
quietly retreat to a peaceful spot to recharge. Since her eye surgery, Sweetie is feeling much more
comfortable and confident, and her sweet personality shines brighter every day. Sweetie is ready to
be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
