Rescue:

Rhubarb first appeared one afternoon at the edge of the bush near our rhubarb patch, just beyond
the yard. She would come and go throughout the winter, always keeping a bit of distance. As spring
arrived, we noticed she was getting bigger—and then one chilly May morning, she stepped out of
the doghouse looking suddenly slim! We discovered her five newborn kittens tucked safely inside
and gently moved them inside our house into a cozy banana box from the grocery store. Since
then, Rhubarb and her babies—Riley, Reebok, Rebus, River, and Raven—have grown strong and
healthy in our home, and they’re now ready to find their forever families.

Personality:

River is a sweet and gentle girl who lives up to her name, quiet, calm, and graceful. She’s a bit shy
at first, but if she’s the only one awake or seeking a nap, she’ll come looking for cuddles. Like her
brother Rebus, she’s cautious and bright but can’t resist joining in when the playtime frenzy starts.
River is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
