Rescue:
Rhubarb first appeared one afternoon at the edge of the bush near our rhubarb patch, just beyond
the yard. She would come and go throughout the winter, always keeping a bit of distance. As spring
arrived, we noticed she was getting bigger—and then one chilly May morning she stepped out of
the doghouse looking suddenly slim! We discovered her five newborn kittens tucked safely inside
and gently moved them inside our home into a cozy banana box from the grocery store. Since
then, Rhubarb and her babies—Riley, Reebok, Rebus, River, and Raven—have grown strong and
healthy in our home, and they’re now ready to find their forever families.
Personality:
Rhubarb is a sweet and gentle soul who shows affection by rubbing up against your legs and
leaning in for head and cheek rubs. She’s calm, quiet, and happy to simply be near you, often
lounging in a sunny patch on the floor or curled up on a nearby chair. While she’s not a big fan of
being picked up, she doesn’t mind it, she just prefers to stay grounded. She has been a devoted
mama to her playful kittens and will make a lovely, peaceful companion. Rhubarb is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
